Some people use them to replace the duvet cover and add a blanket between the top sheet and the quilt. If you like to see your finished bed, you can add a quilt or plaid on top of your duvet cover.

A plaid is a much more ¨multipurpose¨ piece because it allows you to put it on the bed as well as on the sofa, if you feel like it. The use is much more decorative and will serve to give the decorative finish to your sofa or bed. This piece is widely used in hotels, which usually put it covering the bottom of the bed, in the foot area.

As for the footboard with padding I would say 30cm on each side, in this case and if you like it to drag, the ideal is that your bed plaid hang you 50 cm on each side of the bed. The standard height of a bed is 55cm. If your bed measures 150cm you have to think that from floor to floor we would have 2.60cm. Since we want it to drag, we choose 50cm + 150cm (size of our bed) + 50cm = 2.50cm. The plaids never count the bangs, so think that it will fall 7cm more on each side. Elena.

The same thing happens with the bedspreads; first you should ask yourself if you want it to drag you or if you want it to be just right. Measure your bed from floor to floor to know the total width and then add the meters you need.

Our linen bedspreads and plaids are very easy to care for; it all depends on how big your washing machine drum is. If you have a capable washing machine, your linen bedspread or plaid can be washed without any problem at 40°C and even at 60°C if you need it.

For drying; you can use a dryer or a clothesline. Something very practical that I do with my quilts is; I let them dry on the clothesline and when they are almost dry I give them a pass through the dryer so I get the bangs are fluffy.
